But when I try to open the BIOS menu pressing F2 there is nothing (no beeping too). But the next time I tried to boot it up the screen came up with nothing (Fans work, Light indicators work). These setting may not be true for all models. The following indicates where you might find the fan settings for different motherboards. Check the user's manual or manufacturer's web page if you can't find the option to change the fan settings. After it says BIOS is successfully updated it shut down and all went quiet. Not all computer BIOS menus have the option to change the fan settings. The BIOS version on the notebook was v 1.60 and to be upgraded to v 1.70 the process went smoothly upto the step that it shows it's upgrading insydeH20 firmware with a progress bar in DOS window. I downloaded the BIOS update soon after the notebook recommendeds me to do so from official Toshiba website (MEA) after putting it's exact model number and part number as I have done before. So all this started when I was updating my laptop's bios (which I've done before twice and went smoothly) except for this time.
